Mount Kilimanjaro charity trek 2025 update - Supporting Chameleon Buddies

Flights booked! The countdown has begun - just 11 months remain until I embark on my journey to Tanzania as a member of the Chameleon Buddies charity team hiking Mount Kilimanjaro.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported my fundraising efforts, helping me reach £1,456 so far! My ultimate goal is £3,000.

The money raised will be used to help Chameleon Buddies build a dedicated stoma and continence wing at the Gynocare and Women’s Fistula Hospital at Eldoret, Kenya.

Chameleon Buddies is dedicated to ensuring that Kenyan women & girls with stomas receive essential education and stoma care while actively combating stigma. They offer support to women and girls facing stomas and continence issues due to fistulas, often stemming from prolonged childbirth and provide much-needed stoma supplies.

Your donations will go directly to Chameleon Buddies and help the team to make a lasting impact, empowering these women to live their lives to the fullest.

Box Hill - circuit 8 miles - back to training with a loaded rucksack

Since August's back injury, I've been steadily increasing my walking distance. In October, I started carrying an empty rucksack, gradually adding weight. With colder, wetter weather, I'm now fine-tuning my layering for the journey ahead.
