Suzanne White spoke from Leigh Day law who sponsored the launch.

Birth trauma campaigner and Chameleon Buddies founder Gill Castle @stoma_chameleon did an an amazing job summarising the impact of birth trauma and advocating for women injured in childbirth.

Meeting the legendary Gill Castle

It was great to finally meet Gill in person, aka ‘The Stoma Swimmer’ following her epic training and solo swim across The English Channel. Gill is the first person to complete this challenge with a stoma.

I have been looking forward to meeting up with Gill since signing up to join her Chameleons Buddies Climb Kilimanajro charity trek in October 2025. A big thank you to Gill for the mention on BBC breakfast too.

Kingston Hospital Pelvic Health Conference 2024

It was great to return to Kingston Hospital in my role as an Advocate for The MASIC Foundation and speak about the impact of OASI Birth Injuries. My presentation was well received and I really appreciated all the kind words shared from some of the delegates following sharing my journey too. A huge thank you to Katy Wickham, Perineal Specialist Midwife and Professional Midwifery Advocate for organising a brilliant day and inviting me to speak.
