Personal Challenge

I’m taking the plunge with my latest swim challenge, I have entered my first 1500m masters swim event at K2, Crawley. Training for this event has been a challenge following an illness over Christmas and I hoped my efforts in the pool and the gym would pay off.

On the day the race went better than I expected and I swam a much quicker time than I had anticipated and a great personal win.

Charity work

I’ve been busy in my new role as a MASIC Trustee and Advocate co-ordinating and setting up the first MASIC Foundation OASI Birth Injury Support Group in the South East of England. This new support group will meet quarterly in Guildford and will cover areas including Surrey, Hampshire & Berkshire.

If you are out of those areas and would like to attend, you will be welcomed too.

Contact for this support group: masic.guildford@gmail.com

Dates & details of how to join will be released shortly…

Stoma Wellbeing Day - Surrey

As an ostomate I’m always keen to see what different products are out there and discover what is on offer. This will be the first opportunity I’ve had to attend an event like this since having my colostomy three years ago.
